Six Stars!! A truly wonderful heartwarming purrrfect tale. Children will love this story and message about trust and acceptance. There are beautiful images to accompany the text. The story resonates with me as I adopted a mangey cat like Chubbs. I love the questions asked in the book which will help prompt discussion as parents read the stories to children. Grandma acts as Chubbs’ lifeguard which then raises spiritual issues in the book. This story is timeless and will stay with you long after you have read it. I would have given 6 stars if I could.

Such a sweet, heart warming story. I bought it for my 8yr old son who really liked it but it quickly became an all-time favorite for my animal-loving 4yr old daughter and myself. Even when I don’t have time to read it to her, she will sit look at the endearing illustrations.

Chubbs is a beautiful story for children of all ages. The book shares universal truths for us all… to trust and have faith in God even when we can’t “see” or know the outcome. As well, this story is written and illustrated so that it is very easy for children to grasp this valuable life lesson. The author also places helpful and thought-provoking questions within the story, which provide natural places a parent or teacher could pause and have a short discussion with their kids. Excellent book and I highly recommend it to all!

This was a spur-of-the-moment amazon purchase for me, but I’m so glad I bought it. My 5 year old daughter has asked for it on repeat in the last few weeks…Through the book, Grandma makes parallels between Chubbs’ saga and Christian views. All in all, a feel good story that leaves you wanting to know more. I recommend.
